Lenovo has finally announced the Moto Edge S, the company's new smartphone and which was officially launched in China yesterday, Tuesday, 26, at an online event. The device has good settings and a design very similar to other models from the manufacturer, featuring a quadruple camera module at the back and an area reserved for the circular-shaped camera sensor on the front display, a model that has been adopted by other brands since the last year, thus abolishing the drop-shaped notch, a cut that was a trend in 2019.
The Edge S has the Snapdragon 870 processor, revealed a few days ago by Qualcomm. This chipset is inferior to the Snapdragon 888, a component that integrates several devices launched in the last three months, such as Xiaomi's Mi 11 and the three new Galaxy S21 Series models.

Because it is a model classified as "flagship" the device leaves something to be desired in several aspects, such as the screen, for example. The display is a 6,7-inch IPS LCD with FHD+ resolution (1920 x 1080). The screen quality is not what brands usually deliver in more expensive models, which most often add AMOLED-type displays, which guarantee greater image quality and color fidelity.
Still on the screen, the Edge S has a refresh rate of 90 Hz, thus ensuring greater fluidity in games or applications that support this feature. Just for comparison, all devices in the S21 line (S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra) have dynamic frequencies that can vary between 48 and 120 Hz.
The processor is the SD 870, which belongs to the eighth generation and is inferior to the Snapdragon 888, has compatibility with 5G network access. The Edge S comes with versions of 6 or 8 GB of RAM, with storage of 128 or 256 GB expandable with a MicroSD card.

Battery
The battery has a capacity of 5.000mAh and is capable of guaranteeing good autonomy, mainly due to the low energy consumption provided by the Qualcomm processor. The charger is included in the box and has a power of 20W.

Availability and price
The cell phone was not officially launched in Spain and for the time being it is possible to acquire it only in China. There the Motorola Edge S arrived in three models:
- 6 GB + 128 GB: CNY 1,999 (about R$ 1.670);
- 8 GB + 128 GB: CNY 2,399 (cerca deR$ 2.015);
- 8 GB + 256 GB: CNY 2,799 (cerca de R$ 2.352).
