A few years ago, Motorola was a reference when it came to Android updates, including models that had the so-called "pure Android", a version of Google's operating system that brought few changes by the company, such as standard applications and nothing else. Apparently, the brand left this feature aside, which was one of those responsible for establishing it in the Spanish market, bringing new versions of the system later and later.
Just for comparison, brands like Samsung or Xiaomi announced Android 11 months ago for their devices, also releasing new versions of their own firmware and which are based on Android.

Update to Android 11
The update for the new Google system was released via OTA (Over-The-Air) for the Moto G 5G, the company's first intermediate smartphone to support the 5G network, a technology that has been widely introduced by other manufacturers. Users will receive a notification asking them to upgrade to the new firmware, just tap on, accept the terms and start the download.
We recommend that you do the installation with the battery above 60% or with the phone connected to the charger. If you have not received the notice of the new system, do the following:
- Open the smartphone settings and go to the "About device" option;
- Look for 'System Update' and check if there is a new version available;
- Update. The process may take a few minutes.
