According to producer, Resident Evil Village is heavily inspired by RE4

Resident Evil Village has been buzzing the internet as it is one of the most anticipated games of 2021. The title starring Ethan Winters will arrive in May for old and new generation consoles, as well as being available for PC.

As they eagerly await the release, fans create theories, debate what has already been revealed, and wait for more news to come out. Now, in an interview for the official PlayStation magazine (Via WCCFTech), Peter Fabiano, producer of the game, brought some more information and commented a little about the next release of the famous series.

Village fits with the franchise

In the interview, Fabiano spoke about the already famous Lady Dimitrescu and her daughters, ensuring that the characters contain what is expected of vampire lore. In addition, the producer also stated that the new Resident Evil features creatures that fit the franchise, with the game taking into account everything we know about the horror series.

"Dimitrescu and his three daughters all remind you of what you can expect from vampire lore. We're not saying that's what they are, but there's certainly something that feels supernatural about what's going on. We don't want to spoil the story too much, but what I can say is that all creatures fit within the context of the Resident Evil world. We can assure you that Resident Evil Village takes into account the general world and history of the series."

Resident Evil 4 was well received by gamers and received excellent reviews from critics, which made it an extremely successful title in the franchise. To the delight of RE4 fans, Peter Fabiano stated that Village was heavily inspired by the game that has become a favorite of many players.
