According to Comicbook.com, Slovakian online gaming company ProGamingShop has announced the game's release on September 27th. That doesn't seem too far-fetched considering September 27 falls on a Friday, and it's right in the middle of a gaming season.

It should be noted, however, that this may simply be a reserved date. Also, other rumors have reported that the leak date is actually September 28, so there seems to be a bit of confusion about the release of The Last of Us Part II.

It's also worth noting that ProGamingShop recently "leaked" the release date for Cyberpunk 2077, announcing that the game will be released on November 28th. This rumor is less credible as it falls on Thanksgiving Thursday (an important holiday in the United States). So it could be that the site only uses the 27th or 28th day of a random month as placeholder dates.
