Through the EA website, DICE revealed that Firestorm, the game's battle royale mode, will only arrive in March 2019. Thus, players will have to wait another four months for the mode.
As per the official schedule, Firestorm will not arrive at the same time as the main game, being available only next year.
"Firestorm elevates the mode by bringing out the best of Battlefield. It mixes a constantly shrinking battlefield with traditional franchise elements such as team play, powerful vehicles and destruction, and has many unique Battlefield moments waiting for you. "
DICE has revealed its new schedule for new Battlefield 5 content, with updates called Tides of War. It will kick off two weeks after launch with the Panzerstorm map and The Last Tiger singleplayer quest. Between December and January, the different weapons and vehicles will be presented.
Between January and March, Battlefield 5 will receive the Combined Arms mode, a cooperative mode, and two other game modes: Rush and Squad Conquest. And in March will come Firestorm and a map in Greece.
