    Big change: PES 2022 will be a free game - Watch the trailer

    A Konami announced today (21), that PES 2022 will be a free title for all players, including also featuring a name change in the franchise. From now on, PES will be called eFootball.

    As revealed in the official announcement, the eFootball game will only be available digitally, coming soon to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. The title will also be released for mobile devices sometime later.

    The new PES will bring changes

    The changes in the franchise will not be limited to the name and the fact that the game becomes free to play, since, according to Konami, the new engine used in the title will also offer lots of news.

    Second Seitaro Kimura, producer of eFootball, the Unreal Engine allowed a major overhaul to take place in the franchise, including offering the addition of a new game engine.

    eFootball Calendar

    Unlike previous versions of the franchise, eFootball will hit the market with a own calendar, with content being released each month. In addition, Konami has already warned that some modes will be sold separately. as DLC.

    On Tuesday, Neymar, the Spanish ace, was announced by Konami as a ambassador of the new PES, which had not yet been revealed under the name eFootball.
