Blizzard Confirms Diablo III Is Coming to Nintendo Switch

After a flurry of rumors, teasers, and a few leaks, Blizzard Entertainment has confirmed that Diablo III is coming to Nintendo Switch. Fans will be able to enjoy the Eternal Collection bundle, which features the Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancer expansions, for $59,99.

The game modes are the already known, it is possible to play solo and in groups of up to four people, in online, multiplayer and local modes. According to Blizzard, four people can play on a single Switch. And one of the novelties of this release is that Diablo III will get special and exclusive items from Nintendo, all based on The Legend of Zelda, some of them are: cosmetic armor inspired by Ganondorf, a pair of wings inspired by Majora's Mask, a portrait of the Triforce , a pet Cucco and the chickens from The Legend of Zelda franchise.

      • Minimum and recommended requirements to run Fortnite on PC in 2022
      • Minimum requirements to play PUBG on PC
However, the game still doesn't allow playing with players from other consoles, but Blizzard says that this option is not ruled out, they just haven't been able to make this option possible for the launch. On this, the game's senior producer, Pete Stilwell, comments: "It's not available at the moment. I would never take anything away from the possibilities, it's something that we're exploring, that we're interested in. It's not a feature available at the moment."

Another cool fact about this release is that it's been 15 years since Blizzard released a game for a Nintendo console. What's more, Diablo III remains as popular as it was when it was released for PC in 2012.

Stilwell says it's been great to work with the company again: "Nintendo is first and foremost a creator, just like Blizzard. Being able to negotiate things like what partnerships would be, we've been able to show our love for their properties - it's great to collaborate with other game creators in this way. He ends by saying that he hopes for a great future between them and the Company.

It is not yet known when the game will arrive for the Switch, but it will be later this year. This version still makes it possible to play anywhere, without a console or PC with minimum requirements. The title continues with most of the gameplay that remained popular, but now with more modern graphics.
