This year the third edition of the Overwatch World Cup will take place, an event that has taken place since the game's launch. The 24 best teams in the world will meet in the championship and in stages in four countries, which are South Korea, the United States, Thailand and France.
However, according to Blizzard's official announcement, the participation of the countries that will host the games is already guaranteed in the competition, and to guarantee one of the 20 available spots, they will have a deadline until April 28th. For qualification, the 150 best athletes from each country are analyzed, evaluating their competitive performance. The complete ranking can be checked on the official Overwatch World Cup website, where Spain occupies the 19th position.
Teams, Groups and TOP 8
Each of the teams that make up the Overwatch World Cup are managed by the National Competition Committees. In this edition, the groups will consist of a manager determined by Blizzard, a community leader chosen from among the players and a coach selected by the best in each country. Athlete testing and squad building must have been completed by the beginning of July by the committee members.
With this, the teams will start to face each other in August, in which the teams will be divided into four groups, one for each host country, after which the two best teams from each continent move on to the TOP 8. Then, in November, the final phase of the championship.

The game takes place in the midst of a global crisis, where anyone trying to restore peace in a world divided by war is the international task force of heroes, which are Overwatch. The fighters managed to end the crisis and keep the peace for several years, which started an era of exploration, innovation and discovery, however, Overwatch's influence ended up weakening over time, which ended up taking each of the heroes to go their own way. However, with the return of conflicts around the world, combatants are recruited again, so, regardless of the way the player chooses to play, there will be a hero for him to master his skills to win.
