The addition of the Battle Royale mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is nothing new, as Activison had already promised that they would follow the trend of the style of the moment when they brought out Black Ops IV. Modern Warfare's union with the movement makes a lot of sense, and that's what data miners on Reddit recently discovered.
According to information found and posted by the user senescallo, on Reddit, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will have a huge Battle Royale mode, where 200 simultaneous players will be supported. In the same post, maps, weapons, perks, missions and even a new respawn feature are shown. And as is to be expected, a mode with so many users requires a gigantic map, which you can check out below.
According to the leak, these will be the areas covered on the map:
- Aerodrome
- boneyard
- Dam
- Downtown
- Gulag
- Hospital
- Scale
- Wood
- Overgrown
- Port
- Pedreira
- storage city
- Supercenter
- Trainyard
- TV station
One environment that looks interesting is the Gulag, where the player will be able to battle 1v1 for a chance to respawn in the match. This combined with the respawn token system mentioned above will work as follows:
"Respawn Tokens can be looted. Upon use, Respawn Tokens are deactivated for the player.
For a teammate to respawn, you'll need to get a Respawn Token and then leave his body next to an ambulance. Once the body is thrown into the ambulance, the player queues up at the Gulag for a chance to win a 1v1 and reappear in the match.
At some point in the game, the Gulag will be closed and can no longer be used, thus preventing its reappearance.
After a player respawns, they must locate and activate a Mobile Armory to retrieve their loadout."
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, in its new Battle Royale mode, will also have missions and loot. In the missions we will have Tracking, Timed Race, Assassination, Treasure Hunt and Domination, and the random mode, which randomly chooses the options. These can be found via in-game loot pills. Each Team can only have one active mission.
In the in-game loot system, there are two types. The first of them is the regular withdrawals, which are these below:
- Rarities: White, Green, Blue, Purple, Gold
- Limited inventory space
- Request Airdrop Timer: 30s
- All Multiplayer Weapons, Attachments, Gear, Field Upgrades* and Killstreaks*
- Gas mask, vests, helmets, bandages, ammunition, backpacks, portable defibrillator and loot
- Can't hold two of the same weapon
- Cannot wear Armor of a lower level than currently equipped
- Attachments incompatible with the current weapon will be placed in the backpack
- Supply crates contain potentially valuable equipment or items
The withdrawal system is described as follows:
"Earn loot by completing quests and eliminating enemies. Purchase game-changing items from loot crate locations.
Collect the loot and turn it into XP by depositing it at ATMs located throughout the game.
- The player who collects the most loot in a match will be named the Best Looter
- There is a minimum amount of withdrawal required before depositing it in the bank
- Loot dropped by eliminated enemies expires after some time
- When players enter a bank, the bank alarm sounds, alerting all nearby enemies."

"When enabled, players will have a chance to respawn back into the game by winning a 1v1 fight.
The Gulag acts like a King of the Hill style gauntlet, which means players in Gulag Queue will watch players who are currently fighting in Gulag. There will be a countdown on the screen indicating how many rounds are left until you fight.
A Jail Break happens every now and then and kicks all players out of the Gulag and back into the game.
Players have the ability to place bets on the players they are fighting using Cash Out."
