Polish studio CD Projeckt Red recently announced through a company spokesperson that it will follow the model of two franchises (referring to The Witcher and Cyberpunk). This, of course, is no wonder, both games were a great success, providing good profitability.

According to the game developer, the choice can boost the development of these series and improve their quality, analyzing that the fact opens the possibility of sharing tasks between the different teams so that they are developed simultaneously. According to CD Project Red:

"The migration to this two-franchise model developed by independent teams also allows for the optimization of the maintenance of financial activities, reduces risks and makes it easier for employees to feel professionally fulfilled."

To further reinforce the idea that the simultaneous work of both games is worth it, the studio's financial report shows that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt still has a considerable number of sales compared to last year, that is, it can still be considered an important source of income for the company at the moment.

The studio believes that the little fluctuation in its finances comes from the promotion of the game Cyperpunk 2077. The game will be released on April 16, 2020 for Playstation 4, Xbox One, PC and in the future Google Stadia.
