CD Projekt Red Plans to Make The Witcher Multiplayer; understand

In a Q&A session, Adam Kicinski, president of CD Projekt Red, revealed that the Polish company is interested in creating an online multiplayer for The Witcher franchise, as it also plans to do with Cyberpunk 2077. A multiplayer for the futuristic RPG had already been announced, but the idea is new to fans of The Witcher.

The president of CD Projekt Red did not confirm whether the idea is close to being put into practice by the company, nor did he specify which of the franchises will get a multiplayer first. However, Adam Kicinski stated that this will happen in the future. The president also stated that the idea will be made "step by step", with the first title to gain multiplayer also serving so that developers can "learn and add more and more".

"We are planning to add multiplayer in the future in both franchises, this including Cyberpunk, gradually. We are not revealing which franchise will have the first multiplayer features, but the first try will be something we can learn from and add more and more, so step by step we want to open doors for multiplayer, but adding some activities gradually."
