The promotion of the Epic Games Store, the virtual store of the developer of Fortnite, today offered its last free game. The company did exactly what it promised, making a game available every 24 hours for the last 15 days. Some titles were not very successful among players, including causing complaints on social networks, but other games pleased the public, making the promotion generally considered positive. Survival fans had the most reason to celebrate, with the list offering titles focused on this genre and others that take advantage of many similar elements and mechanics.

With a weak start, Epic Games offered Cities: Skylines and Oddworld: New n Tasty in the first two days of the promotion, discouraging players who were hopeful due to a leaked list that indicated several triple A's being offered for free. However, in the following four days the public saw three interesting names being distributed, which gave strength to the promotion and showed that good gifts would really emerge during the 15 days.

The titles in question were The Long Dark (day three), Alien: Isolation (day five) and Metro 2033 (day six).

Studio guarantees that Back 4 Blood will not be a copy of Left 4 Dead

The Long Dark is a journey of survival in the cold that pushes players to the limit, putting them in a fight against the temperature, hunger, thirst and ferocious animals that make everything even more complicated. In its turn, Alien: isolation it is also a title that offers players a lot of tension, making the audience have to sneak through the corridors of a ship in which enemy androids and the terrible alien are on the loose. Already Metro 2033 is a Survival Horror FPS that shows the journey of a man raised underground after the apocalypse that wiped out almost all life on earth, taking players into a dangerous world filled with opponents and mutated creatures.

After the three major titles, the promotion once again had days below the players' expectations. Games like Night in the Woods e Solitaire were gifts that were not successful, certainly being ignored by a large part of the public.

Darkest Dungeon, the turn-based RPG from Red Hooks Studios, also appeared, becoming one of the most celebrated games by users of the virtual store in these 15 days. The game lets you recruit, train and control a group of heroes during a gothic journey, featuring mysteries, monsters, a narration system that tracks your defeats and victories, and interesting turn-based combat.

For survival fans, Stranded Deep it was also an interesting gift. The title by Beam Team Games puts players in the shoes of a plane crash survivor. Exploring, crafting items and hunting are some of the ways to stay alive in this genre-standard game.

To end the promotion, Jurassic World Evolution is being offered today (31). The game can be considered a good final gift, especially by fans of management titles and dinosaur lovers. In Jurassic World Evolution you have to create your own dinosaur park, choosing which beasts will be shown to the public and dealing with the problems that can arise when controlling such an incredible and dangerous attraction.
