The Combo Breaker event is one of the biggest fighting game competitions since 2015 and takes place in the state of Illinois, USA. In the event we have disputes of several games such as, for example, Mortal Kombat 11, Street Fighter V, Tekken 7, Dragon Ball Fighter Z and Super Smash Bros Ultimate. In its fifth edition, the event brought together about 3 thousand competitors in total (all games added together).
Last Sunday (26) the final of the Mortal Kombat game took place and there were many surprises during the championship until it culminated in this outcome. Brad "Scar" Vaughn evolved a lot over the course of the championship leaving aside the favoritism of Dominique "SonicFox".
After an unsurprising victory at the Summit of Time, SonicFox was the favorite to win the Mortal Kombat 11 game cup. However, he ended up losing to Tommy "Tweedy", who was in the Top 24 of the championship, proving that the result would not be just as most thought would happen. It was at this time that Brad "Scar" Vaughn appeared, "punching in the face" big names like Denon "A F0xy Gramnpa" Jones and Tweedy himself reaching the final.
In the final act, Scar caught SonicFox, who made a good recovery and managed to outlive the player Loser's Bracket. With a best-of-five game (MD5), the final ended up being even. Scar used the character Sonya and managed to defeat by 3-2 the Jaqui chosen by SonicFox. In the end Scar won the cup and its prize pool of US$9 (approximately R$36).
The Spaniard KillerXinok had a good start in the competition with three straight wins, but unfortunately ended up losing the first match of the last round of his bracket to Joey "KingGambler" Cortez, being prevented from moving on to the next stages of the championship.
