Confirmed! Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2022 and Warzone 2 are in production

Call of Duty had its 2022 sequels announced by Activision Blizzard this Friday (11). According to the publisher, we will have a sequel to Modern Warfare 2019 and Warzone 2, the sequel to Call of Duty's free-to-play battle royale.

Activision Blizzard says Call of Duty Warzone fans can look forward to an "all-new gameplay space and a new sandbox mode" in the game's sequel. Additionally, the publisher said that both Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2019 will be powered by a new engine.

New Call of Duty titles announced for 2022

The studio responsible for the sequels to Call of Duty 2019 and Call of Duty Warzone remains Infinity Ward. In both games, there was a great success and ended up becoming one of the most popular games in the franchise, especially Warzone.
