    Control gains new updates and fixes FPS drop issue on Playstation 4

      At the end of August, the game Control, developed by Remedy, was released, and since then it has received praise, but unfortunately, criticism too, where the biggest one was the drop in performance in some scenes when playing on consoles. What happened were sudden drops in frames per second in scenes where there is a greater number of movements in the game.

      On the video streaming platform YouTube, the Digital Foundry channel does an analysis of Control. Watch the scene in the time of 14min and 45sec and analyze the FPS rate in real time in the game.



      To the delight of fans, earlier this week an update was announced by the game's developer to address this issue and others that were affecting Control. However, the update has only arrived for the Playstation 4 platform for now, but the team has already communicated that it will release soon for the Xbox and PC platforms.

      - Fixed an issue when the player could not acquire the 'Pierce Charging Efficiency' and 'Spin Grouping Efficiency' upgrade

      - Fixed issue where Crafting Charge and Personal Mods would not give the Weapon/Mod but take the materials (sorry. Council was greedy)

      - Fixed issue that prevented players from activating the Pierce weapon form update

      - Fixed issue where Jesse was unable to clear the "Southern Transit Corridor" checkpoint when returning from the Prime Candidate program area in the Face of the Enemy mission

      - Fixed an issue where Heptonstall would not spawn during certain story quests in the "Old Friends" side quest (still looking for his friend Remus)

      - Fixed the issue when Hiss Barrier remains in the Directorial Override mission control room if the player dies during the mandatory cut scene


      Audio

      - Fixed issue when certain licensed music tracks played after enabling "Mute copyrighted tracks" option


      - Fixed and issue when audio is out of sync in Dr. Darling (PS4)

      Soft Drinks

      - Fixed issue with Charge weapon, forming an erroneous blast radius, causing (too) too much visual damage to environments

      - Fixed an issue where the game would freeze when completing a story mission and unlocking a trophy (PS4)
