Crash Bandicoot: On the Run is announced for Android and iOS

When it was released in 2017, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy started a movement of remake releases like Spyro the Dragon and Destroy All Humans. Now, in this year 2020, Crash Bandicoot has returned again, but this time it was not to repeat what has already been done, but to show something new. Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time will be released on October 2nd for PS4 and Xbox One, but there is one more novelty in the franchise for fans, a spin-off for mobile platforms called Crash Bandicoot: On the Run.

Developed by King Studio, the studio behind Candy Crush) and published by Activison, Crash Bandicoot: On the Run was announced today. According to the trailer revealed, the new Crash Bandicoot title aimed at smartphones uses the classic mechanics of racing in stages, where the player will control where the character must go to dodge obstacles, pick up items and destroy enemies.

How is Crash Bandicoot: On the Run?

Crash Bandicoot: On the Run is a mobile game that uses the mechanics of running through the stages, as mentioned above. This style of game is very common on smartphones and an example of this is the game Subway Surfers. As the title is based on the Crash franchise, it will be interesting to see characters, bosses, stages and creatures coming from the mutant animal universe modified by Doctor Neo Cortex.

The plot of Crash Bandicoot: On the Run involves Crash and Coco in the battle against Doctor Neo Cortex. Apparently, its story and design follows the new sequel to the series made for consoles, Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time.

    Launch and availability

Crash Bandicoot: On the Run is now available for pre-registration on the Play Store (Android app store). The mobile game will be released for both Android and iOS (iPhone) smartphones, but there is still no exact date for its release.
