Cyberpunk 2077 confirmed for Google Stadia

Cyberpunk 2077 confirmed for Google Stadia

When Cyberpunk 2077 was unveiled from E3 2019, there was no sign of support for Google's Stadia game streaming service.

The game has massively attracted gamers, between the significant appeal of the "cyberpunk" visuals the game offers and the inclusion of Keanu Reeves as one of the characters.

Fans have been asking Google and CD Projekt Red to make Cyberpunk 2077 available on Stadia since the two were introduced.

And it was this morning, during the second Stadia Connect event, CD Projekt Red confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will be available for Google Stadia in 2020.

CD Projekt Red members discussed how Stadia will make its games more accessible to gamers than ever before.

"Something like Stadia really allows more people to experience our stories. Everyone experiences the same amazing story, quests and locations."

"It's a device-intensive game, but with Stadia you can play it even if you don't have the ideal device."

      • Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on April 16, 2020 and will feature Keanu Reeves
      • Tweet reveals Cyberpunk 2077 is coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC

The idea is great, having the opportunity to play some of the most anticipated titles of the year on a PC without the ideal settings, but I still have my doubts about how Stadia will effectively work.

Overseas, users of Google's online gaming platform may not have any problems, but here in Spain, where the values of broadband plans are high and companies accumulate complaints about the quality of the service, Google Stadia would have a big hurdle to overcome.

We know that Google has the technology to handle such setbacks, but ideally we would have a trouble-free infrastructure to fully utilize new services and technologies.
