Cyberpunk 2077 has yet another Night City region revealed, meet Westbrook

While it's not possible to play Cyberpunk 2077, we can get a glimpse of the game's world, which takes place in a city called Night City. Recently, CD Projekt Red published on the social network Twitter some images of a luxurious region of the city.

The region shown from the game via the tweet below is called Westbrook, which, it seems, is the best place to live in Night City. In this area are celebrities from cities and the heads of large corporations. On the site there is still a separation where in the area called North Oak the extremely wealthy live far from crime scenes due to the security provided by private protection teams prowling the streets.

Even though there's no chance of finding gangs in North Oak, Westbrook has criminals roaming the streets. In Charter Hill, many hope to one day be able to buy a property in North Oak, they use armored cars with bodyguards to protect themselves from attacks. In Japantown, it's where we'll find a large cluster of Yakusa families.

The Night City setting has a strong Asian influence, more specifically Japanese. Eastern businesses played a major role in rebuilding Westbrook and other parts of the city after the 2023 nuclear attack.

Last week, the spotlight was Watson. Like Westbrook, it was a region that has changed a lot over the years. It was formerly a wealthy neighborhood, but the suits worn by its inhabitants have been replaced by the garb of gangs like Maelstrom and Tyger Claws.

Watson used to have it all. Nightclubs, skyscrapers, corporate offices, a top-end medcenter — but economic disaster put an end to all that. Now, it’s known as ‘the bad neighborhood of Night City’.
