Cyberpunk 2077's First Free DLC Might Take a while to Arrive

Cyberpunk 2077 still hasn't managed to get out of the turbulent period that began with its release. The futuristic RPG fluctuates between good sales figures and several refund requests, dividing opinions from an audience that certainly doesn't see the repercussions it expected before the title came out.

CD Projekt Red continues in a race against time, looking to fix what should work right after the eight-year wait. Such a quest has caused players to receive patches of corrections, but still the game situation is not the best. The Polish developer still seems to have a lot of work ahead, which perhaps changes the direction everything should go in these first months after the release of Cyberpunk 2077.

Recently, CD Projekt Red confirmed that the game's first free DLC would be released soon, but with so many issues that urgently need attention, this additional content may take longer than it should. There is a page, which went live on December 13, on the official website, which confirms the arrival of the DLC for early 2021, but when the page was released, the company still had no idea of the problems that would arise after the first few release days. The DLC still doesn't have any information and not even any images revealed, which could also mean that its release isn't really that close.

It is possible that the new content will still be released in early 2021, but we cannot rule out the possibility that its release will be later than planned.

    Incomplete monorail system

Recently on Reddit, a user named Sybekul shared a video showing a monorail system that appears to have been dropped from the game.

In the video, it is possible to see that when encountering such a system, V is able to move through the structures. The monorails even take the player to some Night City Area Rapid Transit points, NCART, which are accessible areas of the game, which could mean that at some point in development this system was actually part of the title.

However, when Sybekul enters the buildings and looks up, some parts of the map show unrendered objects, which indicates the cancellation of the use of monorails, with the development leaving the system incomplete, but still present in some form in the game.

    Check out the video.
