Death Stranding Director's Cut: Release Date, “Kojima Kart” and New Missions

Death Stranding Director's Cut: Release Date, “Kojima Kart” and New Missions

First released in November 2019 for PS4, Death Stranding has divided opinion. However, after the release of the PC version in July 2020, players began to change their minds, reaching up to $27 million in revenue for 505 Games, the studio responsible for the PC adaptation. Since then, many expected Hideo Kojima and his studio, Kojima Productions, to release a horror game due to the cancellation of Silent Hill, but time passed and earlier this year, we had hints that Death Stranding could have an extended version. for PS4 and PS5, information that was partially confirmed (PlayStation 4 was excluded from launch) with the announcement of "Death Stranding Director's Cut" during Summer Game Fest in June.

Approximately 1 month later, last Thursday night (08), a new trailer for "Death Stranding Director's Cut" was revealed. Although it was not a PV (promotional video or promotional video) edited by Hideo Kojima, a custom followed for years by the creator and director of Kojima Productions, the video shows us what Death Stranding fans will soon have on PlayStation 5.

The PS5™ DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR'S CUT will be released on Friday, September 24, 2021! Although it's not the PV I edited, the pre-order trailer is also available now.

During the new trailer for the PS5 version of Death Stranding, we had something unusual, the "Fragile Circuit". It is a selection of tracks, in the form of roads, created collectively in the game, where cars race. Would it be a "Kojima Kart" (allusion to Mario Kart) as Twitter user Mill Yoshi suggested?

A major difficulty in Kojima's game is the long journeys to make certain deliveries. One of the new features in the "Director's Cut" edition is the delivery robot literally carrying Sam on his back so that he can rest for a while during the journey.

Although the solution has already been to use ladders or ropes to cross canyons, why not make ramps for jumping with motorcycles or trucks? That's exactly what the developers at Kojima Productions did. Practical, no?

Now, let's face it that a cargo launcher was a rather bizarre idea since throughout the game we have to be careful in transporting the boxes so that they are delivered in the best possible condition. What did you think of this idea?

Hideo Kojima reminds fans that in the "Director's Cut" edition there will not only be new equipment, weapons and customizations, but will also feature the crossovers of "Half-Life" and "Cyberpunk 2077", something present in the PC version of the game.

DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR'S CUT for PS5™ will be released on Friday, September 24, 2021.

New weapons, equipment, and customization are also available. Also, all the collaborative relationships with "Half-Life" and "Cyberpunk" are covered.
