Diablo II: Resurrected will be released on September 23

This weekend, during E3 2021, Blizzard finally announced the long-awaited release date for the remaster of the classic action RPG, Diablo II: Resurrected. According to the trailer revealed during the North American gaming event, the title will launch on September 23 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms.

Originally, the Diablo II remaster was announced in February 2021 during BlizzConline. A big difference between the original version of the game and the improved one is the brighter look, but for those who don't like this style, it's possible to switch to the old look. There are also other improvements in the game, such as improved (remade) cinematics, the possibility to store more items and a shared stock with all created characters.

In addition to the above, Blizzard also confirmed that Diablo II: Resurrected will work with old Diablo II saves, allowing players to use characters created decades ago and continue the journey. However, it is worth noting that this feature will only work on PC.

Fans even made a remake of Diablo II based on StarCraft II

Fans have long dreamed of a Diablo II remake. Some players even remade the game using StarCraft II. The Curse of Tristram: Destruction's End was a game that started its fan development in 2014 and became playable in 2017.
