Dragons and Swords! Naughty Dog may be developing a fantasy game

In 2020, seven years after the first title in the franchise, The Last of Us Part II was released by Naughty Dog and became a huge success. The continuation of Joel and Ellie's journey broke awards records, with the game even being the big winner of The Game Awards 2020. However, despite having released a work of art recently, it seems that Naughty Dog is not satisfied and want to produce even more.

To excite fans and indicate a possible new project from the developer of The Last of Us and Uncharted, three fantasy-themed artwork has been revealed by Hyoung Nam, Senior Concept Artist at Naughty Dog. Images can be seen on the artist's profile on ArtStation.

The three drawings are clearly from an epic fantasy project, including a sword, ancient robes, and even a dragon's head. The three arts are called The Women of the North and if they are really related to the next Naughty Dog project, they confirm that the developer will follow a completely different path than what fans are already used to. Check out the other two arts revealed, in addition to the one already present above.

It is worth remembering that according to information from the company's employees on LinkedIn, a new game has already been developed since September last year. In addition, Naughty Dog itself recently confirmed that it is hiring professionals for its next project and Neil Druckmann, co-president of the developer, stated that they are working "on something really cool".

Neil Druckmann would like to make a Punisher game

The Last of Us Part II is a game that deals with revenge in a raw and direct way. The subject is approached in several ways during a journey that is totally driven by this feeling.

Now, Neil Druckmann has revealed an interest in developing stories that certainly fit with revenge and all the elements that surround it. Responding to a question posed by Greg Miller on Twitter, the director stated that he would like to work on something related to The Punisher. Anyone who knows the character's history knows that revenge is something very important in his life. In addition, Punisher-related content, whether on television, cinemas or comics, usually focuses on a more violent and heavy vision, something that Neil Druckmann has proven capable of doing.

In addition to revealing his interest in producing something about Frank Castle, Druckmann also mentioned other IPs he would like to work on. Check out.
