[Dreams] Worldwide CEO of Sony wants the work to live for at least ten years

Shuhei Yoshida, worldwide CEO of Sony, during an interview made during the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2019, by Playstation Asia, reaffirmed once again his love for the game Dreams. On other occasions, he had already commented that the game developed by Media Molecule is one of the "favorite projects of all time". That said, throughout his speeches at TGS, Shuhei stated that he intends to make the work live for at least ten years.

This speech by Yoshida was interesting, as it means that the company intends to take the project to its new console, the Playstation 5, and even beyond that. Of course, the game will remain the same, as the next generation of the Japanese video game will have compatibility with Playstation 4 games. But it may also be that a game for the new platform appears next year, who knows.

"We hope that Dreams will continue to grow for ten years with the community. We released the game in Early Access because we knew that people can create things easily. This game allows for so many things that it will take a while for people to get used to it and create what they want. want."

Sony's CEO even commented on the creators on duty. According to him, there has already been excellent work on Dreams (some players have, for example, remade characters like Crash Bandicoot), and the company wants to value their author.

"We started with Early Access because we wanted to make sure that, at this point, only people who want to create - rather than players who just want to play other people's creations - play. We're interested in talking to those people so they can use the tools. of Dreams and give us feedback so we can improve them."
