EA Access will cost almost twice as much in 2018 here in Spain.

Electronic Arts' subscription service for Xbox One, which allows early access to new releases, old EA games for free and also guarantees special discounts on content purchases, will practically double in price here in Spain. On Sunday (17) the company sent a notification to its customers, informing them that as of January 16, the platform will have its prices readjusted, costing R$110.

This amount refers to the annual subscription, the increase is more than 85% in relation to the R$59 that were charged until then. The new price goes into effect on January 16, both for renewals and new subscriptions.

EA did not say why this increase, but informed users that cancellation must be made before the end of the subscription, avoiding automatic charges for renewal. The value of the monthly subscription, until then, was R$10 and so far it has not changed. However, the value must be increased, as well as the annual subscription.

The EA Access service is exclusive to Xbox One and was launched in 2014, it allows subscribers to test games for free before their launch on the official store, in addition to allowing progress to be carried over to the full version if the user buys the game, Subscription also guarantees unrestricted and free access to several old Electronic Arts games, as well as special discounts on games, DLCs and other content.

For the PC, Electronic Arts has the platform called Origin, it works the same way and arrived in the country in October this year. It costs R$47,90 for the quarterly subscription and R$109,90 for the annual subscription, for Origin, no adjustments to the subscription price were announced.
