    EA buys Metalhead Software, developer of Super Mega Baseball

    From now on, the Super Mega Baseball game franchise will be part of the EA Sports game library. Electronic Arts recently announced that it has acquired Metalhead Software, the Canadian game developer behind the famous baseball game franchise. During the reveal, it was said that the goal is to expand the Super Mega Baseball sequels as well as develop new gaming and sports experiences.

    According to a post made by Metalhead on Reddit for fans, the game development team will remain the same and the studio will remain in Victoria, BC. In addition, it was also said about the scope that the company will follow for the upcoming updates for Super Mega Baseball 3.



    The Metalhead Software representative said:

    "With EA supporting us, we will have access to additional technologies, a wealth of experience and a much wider audience. For us, this is also an incredible opportunity to grow our local Victoria team and the tech industry with EA's support, and we're going to delve into some ambitious new projects."
