[EA on Steam] Electronic Arts returns to Steam with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

Since 2013, Electronic Arts has decided to leave Steam for good, leaving only its platform, Origin. Six years later, EA for some reason decided to return to Valve's platform and redo the partnership. Finally, after some hints, EA Games announced that it will return to Steam on November 15th with the game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, from developer Respawn Entertainment.

By 2013, EA had abandoned Valve's digital game-selling platform to focus solely on its own gaming ecosystem, Origin. This act, at the time, was considered by many to be counterproductive, irritating. Finally, the torture will end in just over 2 weeks, with the debut of the game based on the work of George Lucas. According to the EA Games website, after the launch of Fallen Order on Steam, games such as The Sims 4, Unravel 2, Apex Legends and Battlefield V will be available on the Valve store, with cross-play between Steam and Origin platforms ( learn what cross-play is here).

Andrew Wilson, CEO of Electronic Arts says that:

"This is the beginning of an exciting partnership with Valve that will see us innovating for PC gamers around the world. Through our subscription, we'll have great games and more, we're excited to bring players together from the Steam and Origin to have access to the best games, whenever and wherever they want to play"

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be released on November 15th for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC.
