EA previews FIFA 21 and Madden 21 for PS5 and Xbox Series X

During the EA Play 2020 live we were able to briefly see some images of some EA sports titles for the next generation of consoles. These are the games FIFA 21 and Madden NFL 21, which will take advantage of the hapitc feedback from the Playstation 5's DualSense controller, the super fast loading times of this console and the Xbox Series X.

According to EA Games, players can expect more realistic movement, rich weather detail and "the most authentic character behavior ever seen in sports games." The company also promised that it will bring more realistic reactions from players, stands and fans to the titles, giving greater immersion and "providing an unprecedented experience in the journey". The new deferred lighting system should make games more realistic too.

    FIFA 21 release date

It was also revealed by publisher EA that FIFA 21 will debut on October 9 for Xbox One, Playstation 4 (PS4) and PC. As always, there will be two editions to choose from, the Ultimate Edition and the Champions Edition.

    Migration between consoles

According to EA Games, both FIFA 21 and Madden 21 will come to PS5 and Xbox Series X as soon as the consoles launch. For users of titles who purchase the games for PS4 and Xbox One, a free upgrade will be given to migrate to the next generation video games. The offer to get free games to perform the device migration will end once FIFA 22 is released.

Get #FIFA21 on either PlayStation 4 or Xbox One before FIFA 22 and upgrade your game for the equivalent next generation console (PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X) for free.

Cross-progression support for migrating between video games

Something interesting that EA is working on is cross-progression, which allows FIFA 21 saves not to be lost in some game modes. That is, it will be possible to go from PS4 to PS5 or Xbox One to Series X and continue exactly where the user left off.

Will FIFA 21 and Madden 21 have cross-play?

It is not yet known whether FIFA 21 and Madden 21 will be able to rely on cross-play to play matches between Playstation and Xbox One. This would be interesting, as the number of possible opponents would increase considerably.
