[Electronic Arts] Company hints that it will make its games available on Steam

Steam is currently the main online store for digital games on the market, but it is not always preferred by publishers. There are some publishers who have chosen to create their own online game sales platform. One of them was Electronic Arts, which from 2011 stopped announcing its titles on the Valve store, making them an Origin exclusive.

After 8 years since EA Games withdrew its games from Steam, it seems the winds are changing. Recently through its official account on the social network Twitter, Electronic Arts published a short video showing a coffee mug with the company's logo on which steam comes out (the word in English is "steam").

There was also another indication for the company's possible return to the Steam sales platform, which was a test recently carried out by the company within the Valve platform, where it allowed games purchased on Steam to be run by Origin.

looks like EA are indeed getting ready to come back to steam

      • Minimum and recommended requirements to run Fortnite on PC in 2022
      • Minimum requirements to play PUBG on PC

If EA actually returns to Steam, the user will probably be forced to use the Origin platform to run their games, as already done at Uplay by Ubisoft. This is probably a "play" to give your titles more visibility and audience.
