José de Araújo Cavalcante Neto, known by fans as "Netenho", is legend of the video game world. At 30 years old, Netenho already has extensive experience in the competitive gaming scene.

Shining in the competitive landscape of Point Blank e Counter-Strike, Netenho amassed diverse achievements, experience and has become a well-respected name among fans of FPS title competitions. However, with the passage of time the Pro-player decided to embark on another journey... Netenho decided that he would put aside the competitions and become a streamer.

    Exclusive: Interview with

With a successful career as a Pro-Player and streamer, Netenho is one of the great names in games in Spain.

Also achieving success in his new career, Netenho is currently one of the best known faces in Spain when it comes to Playerunknown's Battlegrounds, or famous PUBG.

In a conversation with Netenho, we talk about his achievements, the way he sees the competitive landscape in Spain and even more!

    the beginning of the career

Telling us about the beginning of his journey, Netenho talked about his first contacts with PUBG and about when he realized that there was the possibility of investing time and effort to walk this path professionally.

The game that started its successful career was Counter-Strike, and like many players, Netenho also met the title in a lan house.

"My older brother, in 2002, commented that a lan house had been opened there in Manaus and that there was a really cool game (which was CS). the place almost every day. I realized that I could be a professional in 2007, when I traveled to my first Spanish Counter Strike and saw that things were going to grow a lot, through the internet and other factors"

Nowadays, the competitive eSports scene has expanded enough to show its strength, but in the beginning things were different. When I asked how those around him saw the possibility of being a pro player, the current streamer revealed that people did not believe that the career could work.

As Netenho himself explained, at the time it was not common to have a high salary as a professional player.

"At first, no one believed it could work. I lived in Manaus and the internet was horrible. Besides, I'm from the time when no one made a living from it, the prize pools were low. Almost no one earned a salary to play and when you did it was little . I often joke that I arrived when it was all bush."

The CS exchange for Point Blank

Before becoming a streamer, Netenho had already made a big change in his career. After winning several titles, and playing for the teams all4frag e DREAM, Netenho decided that it was time to take a chance on a new challenge.

With the arrival of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, the player traded Valve's title for Point Blank. Explaining to us a little more about this change, Netenho said that his experience in CS 1.6 would be better used in Point Blank. The player claims that it was the most correct decision he could have made.

"From playing so much and being a fan of CS 1.6, I was discouraged when CS:GO came. I would need to adapt myself again to the mechanics of the game. As the scenario was very difficult, I ended up meeting Point Blank and saw that the experience I had acquired playing the CS 1.6 gave me a certain edge, so I migrated and it was the best thing I did at the time."

With experience in both CS and BP, Netenho spoke about what he believes to be the main difference between games.

"While Counter-Strike is a slower game, Point Blank is extremely fast. In PB, if you made a mistake, a guy would come in and kill everyone. In CS, there are many utilities. In PB, at least in the beginning , the guys didn't use it that much, so it was a matter of playing who had the best aim and those who played together had the advantage. They are totally different games, even with some similarities such as matches with teams of five players, recoil and others"

PUBG Mobile - Game from Semana - Mobile

Goodbye to the player, hello streamer!

If the change from CS to PB had already been big, Netenho would take an even bolder step. With the arrival of PUBG, the Amazon he left his career as a professional gamer aside and decided to take a risk on his career as a streamer.

Talking about this change, Netenho explained that many factors were important to make this decision. With PB having a very young audience, it was difficult to get support to make the situation more profitable, as as the streamer himself stated "the world of lives was very weak". Also, the game didn't have any organization to help with salaries.

    Exclusive: Interview with

Netenho went on to shine in another career.

In PUBG, the situation was totally different. The community, which is called incredible by the streamer, embraced him from the beginning and helped him grow in this medium. Already older and needing to focus on something that would bring financial stability, Netenho saw in the PUBG hype the possibility of investing in a streamer career.

When asked about the differences between the two careers, Netenho explained that the streamer career is more calm, without presenting the same demands and the same day-to-day stress of a Pro-player.

"Being a pro-player was very tiring. You had to train daily to be the best, study opponents, play championships and put up with haters. As for the streams, you spend your energy creating new content, but it doesn't even compare. much smoother and there is not as much pressure on you to have good results like when you are a pro player and you are always competing, especially because it depends on the prizes. In the stream you just have to be you, have fun, play well and have some fun laughs."

    The competitive landscape

Talking about the competitive gaming scene, Netenho talked a little about how everything has changed since the beginning of his career. The streamer claims that nowadays the situation is very different.

"The old scenario doesn't even compare with today's. Currently the awards are very flashy. I remember that at the time I went to the Point Blank world, in 2013, the awards were basically the trip with everything paid for. having won the Spanish Championship, for example, was only R$2500 for the whole team."

"Today things have grown a lot, the awards are much more significant. I'm happy to have the opportunity to experience all this. What I would like to see is PUBG investing more and more in the competitive scenario so that more people can live from their dreams ."

    The expansion of PUBG

The Playerunknown's Battlegrounds universe is expanding. THE krafton has already stated that new titles will emerge to offer new experiences in the universe presented in the famous battle royale. The Callisto Protocol, considered a Dead Space's spiritual successor, is a game that makes evident the desire to deliver truly new experiences to players.

Talking about the expansion of the universe, Netenho stated that this should be good not only for those who will play the titles, but it should also be something positive for those who prefer to watch live broadcasts.

"I hope that the expansion will be positive and that it will please both those who play and those who watch it."

    Notable career moments

As well as in his career as a professional player, Netenho has already accumulated achievements in his career as a streamer. With a channel that grows continuously, the Amazonian will certainly achieve even more success.

Talking about the most important moments of his career, Netenho stated that there are many, however, he cited three as the main highlights.

"When I left Manaus and came to live in Campinas. At that time, when I migrated from PB to PUBG, it was all or nothing, because I didn't live in my parents' houses anymore. When I won the award for best streamer and also when I won my first Spanish championship and I went to represent Spain in the world in 2013 for PB. I have several important moments, but these are the main ones."
