Due to technical issues, Codemasters has temporarily disabled 3D audio for headphones in the new F1 2021 PS5 update. According to the website PushSquare, in the notes for the 1.06 update of the racing game it is said that the audio feature has been disabled due to an unspecified bug.
As per the F1.06 1 Update 2021 Patch and Implementation Summary, the 3D Audio feature will be temporarily removed from the game.

In it the developers say:
"This will be re-enabled once the audio issues related to it are resolved."

In July, developers temporarily disabled Ray-Tracing citing performance issues. The light reflection physics feature in games was re-enabled last week with the 1.05 update.
