Cuphead is considered one of the best games of the year, and is only available for Xbox One and PC. However, a fake version of the game was found on the App Store costing $4,99.
The fake game looks a lot like the original and even used the name Studio MDHR Entertainment Inc. so that it could be confused with an original adaptation for iOS, perhaps for this reason the mistake was not noticed by Apple, which approved it in its store. The real name of the game's developer is StudioMDHR.

The situation ended up getting worse when the fake game reached the top of the iTunes list this Monday (18), however, as soon as Apple became aware of the gaffe, the app was removed from the store. One of StudioMDHR's co-founders, Chad Moldenhauer, said that several alternate versions of Cuphead have already been found, both for iOS and Android, however, "this was the first time anyone tried to include the game in the app store using the name company, selling a fraudulent version of the game".
The recommendation for those who fell for the scam is to uninstall the game immediately, after all it is not known if the intention was to profit from the sale of a fake game, or to use a successful title to steal user data. The original game is officially available for Xbox One and PC, priced at $19,99.
