Today is the release of the long-awaited remaster of the 1997 game, Final Fantasy VII, but unfortunately the news will only serve those who will play the title on PlayStation 4, as the release will be exclusive to Sony's console for 1 year.
The decision to keep the game exclusive for 1 year after its official release was heavily criticized not only by journalists but also by the general public. A part of this criticism is also in relation to the current pandemic of COVID-19 that is causing most people to stay at home and thus consume more content, and that includes games as well.

You can already watch game reviews on various communication channels, after all, Square Enix released an early copy so content creators can give their opinions and ratings before the full game is released to the general public. Something important to remember before watching any review of the game is that there will be spoilers, after all the game is from 1997 and its history is already well known by fans of the saga that now has 15 titles, with the last one being released in 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and in 2018 for PCs using Microsoft's Windows system.

The only extra content you can receive when you buy this version is the Choboco Chick Summoning Materia DLC, but you would need to pre-order the game in order to receive this "reward".
Deluxe Edition - 79.99USD
The Deluxe Edition is much more complete and you get a lot more content, but the Choboco Chick Summoning Materia DLC is also only available with the pre-order of the game. The other extra content you get in this version are as follows: Art Book, Mini-Soundtrack, Steelbook and the Cactuar Summoning Materia DLC.
1st Class Edition - 329.99USD
This is already the best edition of the game currently available, in addition to all the content that the Deluxe version and Pre-order DLC, you still get: Carbuncle Summoning Materia DLC and Play Arts Kai Cloud Strife & Hardy Daytona.
