Fortnite closes partnership with Santos, Bahia and 21 other football clubs

Epic Games, developer of the game Fortnite, has always guaranteed good customization features for its players, such as skins of Marvel and even NFL heroes. Building on the success of American football in the game, the company is now announcing an agreement with clubs from other football - yes, the most popular on the planet.

The agreement involves the licensing of 23 football clubs for the game, two from Spain: Santos and Bahia. The other clubs that were also integrated are part of football abroad, being Manchester City, Juventus, Milan, Inter Milan, AS Roma, Seattle Sounders FC, Atlanta United, Los Angeles FC, Wolverhampton Wanderers, West Ham, Sevilla, Sporting CP , Borussia Mönchengladbach , FC Schalke 04, VFL Wolfsburg, Rangers, Celtic, Cerezo Osaka, Melbourne City FC, Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers.

Marcelo Frazão, marketing executive for Santos FC, spoke about the impact of this agreement for the club.

"We consider the universe of games strategic for the Club, both in terms of positioning and in terms of audience growth and proximity to the young audience. It is in this concept that the launch of this licensing action with Epic Games for Fortnite: you may not even know the game, but make sure your child knows and plays."

How to get the custom items?

Epic has announced that the feature will be available starting tomorrow, January 20th. If the player participates in the Pelé Championship, he will take the items for free, accompanied by a gesture to the character that imitates the "Leap in the air of Pelé", the most famous goal celebration of the King of Football. In addition, the player will be able to compete for an autographed Santos FC shirt.

The developer also talked about Creative Mode, a section of the game where you can play football. The matches will be played with teams of four players each, and to score goals it will be possible to use your own body, pickaxes, boosters and speed boosters.
