Fortnite for Android is being made available in an open version for Android, which means that anyone can play.
Until then, Fortnite was only available to invited players through the closed beta and even Samsung Galaxy owners. Starting today, users can join without an invitation.
It is worth mentioning that it is not possible to download the game through the Google Play Store. To participate in the open beta, it is necessary to access the game's website or through the QR code.
Tim Sweeney, CEO of Epic Games, said the game is not available on the Play Store because the company wants a more direct link to its consumers.
"We're trying to make our software available to users as cost-effectively as possible. That means distributing the software directly to them, accepting payment through Mastercard, Visa, Paypal and other options, and not having a 30% store."
