Free Fire Champions Cup (FFCC) 2020 is canceled

Free Fire Champions Cup (FFCC) 2020 is canceled

Garena, the distributor and game developer responsible for Free Fire, today announced the cancellation of the Free Fire Champions Cup (FFCC) 2020. The reason was the increasing number of outbreaks of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the world added to the forced quarantine by the virus. According to the company, the priority has always been to maintain the health of those involved in the event, including players, fans, partners and teams.

Garena reinforces its commitment to everyone's health by saying:

"Our Free Fire eSports team has been monitoring the situation closely and paying attention to the recommendations of the relevant authorities. This is an unprecedented time for offline and online sports - especially for international events - and everyone is striving to do their best for their communities and planning accordingly."

Many must be looking forward to the FFCC event, which is the biggest Free Fire event in the world. However, according to those responsible for the tournament, no other variation to solve this current barrier would solve it, as the objective is to offer the best possible eSports experience.

To compensate for the lack of the large FFCC, Garena is looking for alternatives. The Rei do Solo championship is currently taking place, where players from all over Spain are vying for the prize of R$16 through matches in Contra Squad mode. The organizing team says they will do everything possible to ensure a good experience throughout the tournaments, keeping the excitement and fervor of participants and spectators alike.

      Garena ends by saying:

"We thank our community for their continued understanding and support, especially during these difficult times. It is worth mentioning again that everyone's health and well-being is of the utmost priority right now. Take care and stay safe. Free Fire community."

This shows us the commitment of the team responsible for Free Fire to players, partners and organizers. We have to value that, no matter how sad the situation is.
