Free to try! Guilty Gear Strive open beta is now available

The open beta of Guilty Gear Strive is now available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. On Thursday (18), the free download was released and now all players can check out the title on consoles. The beta, which weighs in at 5GB, will be available until 11:59 am Sunday morning.

The free trial period gives players the opportunity to test 13 characters. The final version of the title will also feature Anji Mito and another undisclosed fighter, but these two will not be available in the open beta.

Netcode praised

Before the beta began, Guilty Gear Strive was already being tested by some early access players, including well-known names in the fighting game community.

Early access made the game manage to win praise from many players, impressing with its Netcode. There were many reports of fluid matches against opponents from other continents.

Justin Wong, eight-time EVO champion, was also impressed with the game and even decided to share his opinion on Twitter.

Jiyuna, famous streamer and tournament organizer, also praised Guilty Gear Strive, even saying that it is the best netplay he has ever played.
