A Gamescom 2021 will take place in August, between the days 25 and 27, being held for the second time in a row in a format exclusively digital. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the event will follow the pattern seen last year, but promises to deliver attractions from several companies in the industry.
The show will be presented by Geoff keighley, the creator of The Game Awards, and will be attended by many major publishers, including Activision, who did not attend this year's E3.

Companies confirmed at Gamescom 2021
In addition to the aforementioned Activision, other large companies have already confirmed their presence at the event. THE Xbox, which made history at E3 2021, is also confirmed at Gamescom, as is the Bethesda will also have content to display. Bandai Namco, which disappointed at E3, Electronic Arts and Ubisoft are other confirmed names.

Oliver Frese, COO at Koelnmesse, organizer of Gamescom, said that the list of companies already confirmed is impressive due to the challenges caused by the pandemic.
"Given the challenges for game production during the pandemic and a short lead-up to a digital event, we are very excited about the impressive list of partners already confirmed for the conference."
Indie games
In addition to the big companies already confirmed at the event, Gamescom 2021 will also show a wide variety of indie titles. According to official information, at least 80 indie games will be part of the attractions of the event.
