Genshin Impact is the sensation of the month, a game that has already paid for itself in just two weeks of release with more than $100 million raised. The anime-style game has a well-known and popular mechanic around the world, that of gacha, in which you must make innovations to acquire weapons and characters.

Each character has its role
Many of the famous tier lists or character rankings are circulated to help players identify which characters are worth investing in. However, this is a PvE game and all these lists are still very subjective. In terms of skill scaling, virtually all characters are at similar levels when taking into account their occupation. And it is based on this keyword that we will bring you a somewhat different list.
It doesn't make much sense to talk about "stronger" characters in Genshin, only characters that perform specific functions better than others, so absolutely all characters in the game are Useful, just be well integrated in a team with the proper synergy of functions and elements.
Among the existing functions in Genshin, we can separate them by DPS (damage dealer), support and healer. All these functions can still be classified with a subcategory of "activators". Activators are those who use their elemental and ultimate abilities and leave them on the field, allowing the player to switch characters and keep the already used ability active, keeping elemental reactions happening in the process. However, we will not delve into this for the creation of our ranking.
With that in mind, each of the characters in the game has one or two roles, performing them very well or in an average way. Any character that performs some role in an average way also has another functionality, so Genshin's characters are balanced and talking about "the strongest characters in the game" is actually silly.

DPS - What characterizes a DPS is the damage caused by the character. This damage can be explosive in a matter of a few seconds, or consistent over minutes of fighting. They are usually those characters with low cooldowns and/or damage bonuses on basic or charged attacks.
Support & Admin - A support in Genshin Impact is that character that can protect the team, control the field or enable/facilitate elemental reactions. It doesn't mean these characters can't do a lot of damage, but the best of them is elsewhere.
healers - With a self-explanatory title, healers heal themselves and their team. Many healers heal while performing some other function as well. It is also the most restricted class to date, with few characters that perform this function.
It is worth noting that the vast majority of characters below Tier S have more than one role. It is natural that characters who do two or three things are not excellent at any, but extremely versatile. The biggest exception in the game is Amber, the first character acquired for free that has a very limited skill kit. However, the next patch will bring buffs to her elemental skill so that she is not so easily discarded.
