Finally, the long-awaited Genshin Impact update 1.6 has been officially announced by the miHoYo studio. The big news will be the alternative outfits for the characters in the game, something implemented for the first time by the developers. In addition to this new possibility, a new playable Inazuma character is also coming. According to miHoYo, the update will arrive on June 9, 2021 for PC, Android, iOS, PlayStation 4 and PS5.
What's new in Genshin Impact version 1.6
In this new season the traveler (player) will help Klee after receiving a letter from "King Dodo" threatening to take away Dodoco, Klee's friend. To achieve this, you'll need to drive a boat through a remote sea area to search for "Dodoland" on a group of islands. During navigation, players faced several challenges, including a fierce fight against Maguu Kenki.
Maguu Kenki is an opponent capable of summoning ghosts to deal Anemo and Cryo damage and is only affected in close quarters combat. During challenges, players can earn Event Coins to redeem valuable resources and the new four-star Catalyst to increase refinements in the Event Store.

In Genshin Impact Update 1.6, two summer outfits will be added that can be used on the characters Jean and Barbara. The "Dream of the Sea Breeze" outfit can be purchased from the in-game store at a discount (limited-time value). Barbara's outfit, the "Brilliant Performance", can be redeemed for free by completing some objectives of the "Narrator Echoes" event.

The new playable character arriving in Genshin Impact Update 1.6 is Inazuma's Kaedehara Kazuha. Kazuha is a 5 star character and uses the Anemo power and a sword. He has the ability to deal additional damage when encountering with Hydro/Pyro/Cryo/Electro, as well as being able to buff his teammates with Elemental Damage Buffs to their corresponding elements if a Whirlwind reaction is caused.
The new Happens Quest will feature Kazuha. In addition, he will travel with Beidou and his Crux Fleet, giving clues on the way to reach the protected Inazuma.
New features and optimizations
Genshin Impact is also getting this new update with optimizations and the new Teapot of Relachá feature to invite player characters to live in your Magical Paradise. Characters inside the location will have their friendship experience gradually increased over time.

Developed by miHoYo studio, Genshin Impact was released on September 28 for PC, PS4, Android and iOS. A few months later, in November, the title was released for Nintendo Switch. Now, on May 28th, Genshin Impact will finally get a PS5 version.
Genshin Impact is a free-to-play open world style action RPG game, where the player chooses one of the "Travelers" characters to unravel the mysteries of Teyvat, a world created for the game. The miHoYo title even competed for best RPG game of the year at The Game Awards and at the 2020 Brazil Game Awards, but ended up losing to Final Fantasy VI Remake in both awards.
