Ghostwire: Tokyo - Read Before You Buy!

Developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda, Ghostwire Tokyo arrives as a timed PlayStation 5 exclusive on consoles, and will also be released for PC. In the role of Akito, a character who shares his own body with a spirit called KK, you venture into a Tokyo where the population has disappeared and only spirits roam the streets. Facing enemies of sinister design and bizarre abilities, you are able to utilize elemental weaving to battle your opponents. We've prepared a few things you should keep in mind before buying the game, to decide if it's really worth the investment!

Ghostwire Tokyo is a short game!

With the price of games nowadays, it is always very important to know the duration of titles. Many players prefer to invest in adventures that will offer more hours of gameplay, which is not something that can exactly fit in with Ghostwire.

The main plot of the game lasts about 8-10 hours only. By doing side quests, you can go past 20 hours of gameplay. If you intend to complete everything the title proposes, then many hours will have to be put into the journey due to the many collectibles. The big problem is that being an extremely repetitive game, Ghostwire Tokyo is a game that can keep the player interested only in the main quests.

    extremely repetitive

Before buying the game, it's good to understand its general structure. In Ghostwire Tokyo we see a lot of repetition of objectives, with many missions being pretty much the same.

The journey boils down to taking on hordes of enemies, purifying torii gates, accomplishing an objective, and repeating the same cycle many times to progress through the main plot.

    wasted combat

With too much potential, Ghostwire Tokyo's combat is wasted. With only two hits for each of the weaving elements, it is very likely that the player will feel that the glow of clashes fades after a few hours.
