GTA VI should only arrive between 2022 and 2023, says analyst

By all indications, Grand Theft Auto VI seems to take a while to hit the market. The opinion was given by Jefferies finance analyst Alex Giaimo. According to him, the game It shouldn't be released until 2022. This claim comes in response to some rumors that talked about the game as early as 2020 and the idea that Take Two's shares would rise because of it.

Well, some facts actually lead one to believe that he may be right. The first of them is that, most likely, GTA VI will only be released for the next generation of consoles. As these are only expected to hit the markets in 2020, it's to be expected that the game won't come sooner.

Even so, there are rumors that the game will be released next year along with the new PlayStation 5... but it's unlikely. Bully 2 should be Rockstar's game of 2020. This information is also unconfirmed, but it is far more likely to be real. This is because of the next fact.

GTA VI should only arrive between 2022 and 2023, says analyst

Despite being released years ago, GTA V is still quite successful.

Taking into account that GTA V was released in 2013, its successor can only be expected to arrive, in fact, in 2023. That's because other great games took ten years to have their new versions. Examples are Skyrim, The Elder Scrolls 6 and Red Dead Redemption. Bully should take longer - its first version was released in 2006 - but it shouldn't take that long.

Finally, as GTA V still receives several updates, it is unlikely that Rockstar is considering abandoning it anytime soon.

Be that as it may, a fact is that GTA VI should only arrive for the new consoles, which means that we won't know much about the game until Sony and Microsoft announce their releases.
