It was recently announced that an update will make all titles in the Halo series for Xbox gain support for mouse and keyboard play. TheVerge mentions that it even asked developers of original Xbox games five years ago how they felt about mouse and keyboard support, resulting in skepticism that it would ever happen.
Now all The Master Chief Collection games (Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo: Reach and Halo 4) will have mouse and keyboard support starting from a patch that will be available this April . In addition, the player will be able to adjust the field of view, the aim and add commands for the keys, as any good shooter for PC should do.
This change not only means the chance to play toe-to-toe against PC players, but also a way to avoid getting into games where there are cheaters as Tom Warren says in a tweet:
seeing mouse and keyboard support in Halo on Xbox makes me wish Destiny 2 had this. I’d switch immediately from PC, which is full of hackers, aimbots, and other exploits that ruin the PvP experience
