It seems strange, but in some parts of the world, dating and even marriage with anime characters exists. In Japan, even, the practice has become increasingly socially accepted and, to prove it, a company decided to pay bonuses to those who are in marriage with their two-dimensional chosen.
In general, people who choose character marriages are unconditional fans of manga and anime, as well as games that follow oriental animations. Still in 2008, a movement was already asking the country's government to legalize marriage with fictional characters. The petition, even though it was not accepted, was very successful.
