Kojima Productions, the studio responsible for the development of Death Stranding, announced a new division dedicated to music, TV and cinema. Located in Los Angeles, California, USA, the company's new unit created by Hideo Kokima aims, according to GamesIndustry.biz, "to take the studio's games to other areas of pop culture".
The new division of Kojima Productions will be managed by Riley Russell, who worked for approximately 28 years in various roles at Sony Interactive Entertainment, the division responsible for PlayStation. Riley says:
"The new division will be tasked with working with creative and talented professionals in television, music and film, as well as the more well-known gaming industry. The team aims to broaden the reach and awareness of properties now under development at Kojima Productions, and make them even more a part of our popular culture. Although we are a global organization, the new business development team will be concentrated in Los Angeles, CA. We are really excited and looking forward to working with the best entertainment talent that we can, in all entertainment industries."
