League of Legends new season starts January 10th, with 12 new skins and new champion

The 2020 season of League of Legends officially starts on January 10th. This means that all players around the world will have their ranked links reset, a new md10 will take place and new ranked prizes will come at the end of the year. For those who don't know, an MD10 is the starting opportunity of every season to play 10 games without losing PDL (ranked points needed to move up divisions and links) and earning more PDL than usual with each win. In this stage, the players are leveled to balance the ranked teams in the best way.

But in addition to ranked games, the new season is also bringing with it a new champion, Sett, and many new skins. On January 14th, Sett hits the official servers. It is a champion with many references to the anime JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, being obviously a tank fighter, whose skills are very reminiscent of wrestling techniques.

Sett arrives with participation in the Mecha skins line, which will return with 5 new skins from the line in the same Patch. In this theme are Leona, Jax (legendary), Sett, Garen (prestige edition) and Draven. But it won't be the only line of skins returning in January, the Guardian of the Sand skins will have Ryze, Janna, and Rengar added to the set. Three new Dragon Slayer skins also arrive for Diana, Olaf and Trundle. Finally, Sylas will receive an isolated icy skin, Sylas of the Freljord. All skins will cost 1350 RP, while Mecha Jax will cost 1820 RP for being legendary. Mecha Garen Prestige Edition will be acquired via event points.

Finally, there is great expectation of the launch of side games in 2020, such as Wild Rift, or League of Legends Mobile, announced in the second half of last year. The Legends of Runeterra card game is also expected to be officially open to everyone, but for now it is still in beta with select guest players playing it.
