    Legend of Mana, PS1 classic, will be remastered for PS4 and PC

    Recently Square Enix announced that the classic RPG title made for PlayStation 1, Legend of Mana, will receive a remastered version for PS4. Previously, the Japanese game developer had announced that the game would be coming to the Nintendo Switch, but now it has been revealed that the title will be made available for PC and PlayStation 4.

    About the remaster

    The remaster will feature improved graphics (backgrounds and character sprites) and "optimized" gameplay. In addition, the developers of the remastered version of Legend of Mana promised a new soundtrack.



    Another novelty that will arrive in this remaster is the 'Ring Ring Land' minigame, which will be made available for the first time in the west (only the Japanese version for PS1 had it).

    About Legend of Mana

    Developed by Square (a studio that later merged with Enix, forming Square Enix), Legend of Mana was originally released in 1999 for PlayStation 1. It is the fourth game in the action RPG franchise called Mana. His story begins with an unnamed hero who aims to restore the land of Fa'Diel so that the Tree of Mana can return.

    At the time of its release, Legend of Mana had a good reception, selling 400 copies in the first week of its debut and by the end of 1999, an incredible 700 copies. The specialized critic considered the game vibrant, with beautifully designed graphics and an excellent soundtrack.

    Launch and availability

    The remastered version of Legend of Mana will be released on June 24, 2021 for the PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC platforms (via Steam). Check out the trailer for the game below:
