Today Microsoft announced on its website the games that will be available for free to Xbox Game Live Gold subscribers in the month of August. For Xbox Series X/S, we will have Little Nightmares and Dead Rising games. There will also be backward compatible games, which are The King of Fighters XIII and Breakdown.
Free games will be available for a limited time to Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers
The games mentioned above will be available for a limited time to Xbox Live Gold subscribers. By subscribing to the service, the player has access to the game in online mode, free games and exclusive discounts on the Microsoft Store. There is also the option of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which also has the same benefits and more. Check out the period when the games will be available for download below:
- Little Nightmares: Available from January 1st to January 31st
- Dead Rising: Available from January 16th to February 15th
- King of Fighters XIII: Available January 1-15
- Breakdown: Available January 16-31
Little Nightmares
Developed by studio Tarsier and published by Bandai Namco, Little Nightmares was originally released in 2017 for PC, Xbox One and PS4. At the time, the game received many positive reviews due to its atmosphere, graphics, and sound. It is a puzzle adventure horror platform game.
Dead Rising
Developed and published by Capcom studios, Dead Rising was originally released in 2006. It is an open world action adventure game in the survival horror genre. Created by Keiji Inafune, the franchise titles take place in fictional cities, although real locations are cited. The first Dead Rising title takes place inside a large shopping mall in the city of Willamette, Colorado.
King of Fighter XIII
Developed and published by SNK Playmore, The King of Fighters XIII was originally released in 2010 for arcades in Japan and a year later for PS4 and Xbox One. The game's events take place after the story of The King of Fighters XI and is also the conclusion of the story arc that started in The King of Fighters 2003. It is a classic fighting game belonging to The King of Fighters franchise.
Breakdown
Developed and published by Namco, Breakdown was originally released in 2004 for Xbox. The game uses a first-person perspective and was highly praised in this regard. In 2018, Microsoft even announced a backwards compatible version with Xbox One through physical media or digital download. It is an action game mixed with elements of fighting games.
