    Microsoft says Activision Blizzard will release games on PlayStation

    The purchase of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft scared many, mainly due to the great popularity of the studio's titles that are present on various platforms. Fortunately, Microsoft has confirmed that "Call of Duty and other popular titles from Activision Blizzard".

    Microsoft vice chairman and president Brad Smith addressed in an article published by the company about what the adaptation will look like after regulatory approval for the acquisition of Activision Blizzard. In one of the points explained, Brad says:



    "To be clear, Microsoft will continue to make Call of Duty and other popular Activision Blizzard titles available on PlayStation for the term of any existing agreement with Activision. love."

    What changes for PlayStation and Nintendo?

    According to previous reports, it has been said that upcoming Call of Duty sequels will come to PlayStation, but nothing further has been said. Brad says Microsoft will look to ensure the same for Activision Blizzard titles on Nintendo consoles.

    "We are also interested in taking similar steps to support Nintendo's successful platform business."

    While this is good news for Call of Duty fans, Brad doesn't cite other franchises that have been around for many years on various platforms. Also, the issue of title projects that are still being developed by Activison Blizzard was not addressed.

    Microsoft will give developers freedom to use their own payment systems

    One of Microsoft's goals for its app store is to give developers the freedom to use their own payment systems instead of Microsoft's. Brad says:


    "There is a lot of friction today between creators and gamers; mobile app store policies and practices restrict what and how creators can offer games and what and how gamers can play them," Smith wrote. "Our major investment in acquiring Activision Blizzard further strengthens our determination to remove this friction on behalf of creators and gamers. We want to enable world-class content to reach all gamers more easily across all platforms."
