    Mobile games (for cell phones) have several forms of monetization, from paid titles to free-to-play with microtransactions inside, where there can be the Gacha strategy, season passes and cosmetic items. According to SensorTower, a mobile app analytics company, the market for NFTs and cryptocurrencies is growing more and more in the mobile gaming industry.

    Compared to other monetization methods, NFTs and cryptocurrencies in mobile games on the Play Store and App Store have gained their space. Currently this market has appeared in a diverse range of game types, ranging from Mid-Core to Casual. This shows that developers are experimenting with the types of audiences that are most susceptible to monetization through the use of cryptocurrencies and NFTs.

According to SensorTower, in 2021, five of the 10 most downloaded games using blockchain technology had more than 8 million downloads. WolfFun's Thetan Arena was the most downloaded mobile game in the category, followed by titles like Crazy Defense Heroes by Animoca Brands.

    NFT and cryptocurrency based games don't often experiment with various monetization methods. However, Wemade's MIR4 and Crazy Defense Heroes games stood out using a wide variety of options.
