More exclusive games will arrive on the Epic Games Store in the next 2 years

The Epic Games Store has managed to establish itself more and more in the gaming world. The Fortnite developer's virtual store uses interesting strategies to conquer new users, seeking to become the public's favorite.

Free games can be considered the Epic Games Store's biggest tactic to attract more players, but the online store also tries to increase its popularity with temporary exclusives.

    More exclusive games

Now, in a statement to PC Gamer, Epic has revealed that exclusivity contracts will continue to be carried out. Check out the words of an Epic Games representative.

"We have more exclusives coming out in the next two years than we've given out to date"

21 games that will be released already have agreements signed with the Epic Games Store, including Kena: Bridge of Spirits, a title that is expected by many players and has interesting potential. In addition, other heavy games are also part of this list, such as Far Cry 6 and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, both developed by French giant Ubisoft.

It is also worth remembering that Remedy Entertainment, gen Design and Playdead are developers that are part of the Epic Games Publishing label, so their titles will likely be exclusive to the platform on PC. Remedy Entertainment recently delivered Control, a title well received by gamers and critics, including being nominated for the best game of the year at The Game Awards 2019.

    the tactics

As one of their main tactics to attract more players, exclusives have been appearing frequently on the Epic Games Store. To date, more than 100 games have been released exclusively for the company's store. Many of these titles ended up leaving for other platforms some time later, with exclusivity being only temporary, but such agreements are still interesting and allow Epic Games to conquer the preference of many players when purchasing industry releases.

In addition, free games have also been a big draw for the virtual store. Week after week Epic offers free titles to its players, with many great games appearing on the list.

In the last 15 days of last year, the company ran a promotion in which it offered a free game every 24 hours. Titles like Alien: Isolation, Metro 2033 and Jurassic World Evolution became available for free. Recently, Epic made Star Wars: Battlefront 2 available at no cost to its users, pleasing fans of the saga created by George Lucas.
